Top 10 Christmas Movies

Yes, it's that time of year again. Honestly, I cannot get enough of it! I love Christmas. Christmas has always been the best time of year for me; even my birthday doesn't give me this much joy! Ever since I was a little kid I couldn't wait to just sit and look at all the pretty lights and decorations my mom put on the Christmas tree; and I'm glad I was able to experience my father bringing home a nice big real Christmas tree and I absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, about the age of 6 my family stopped bringing home real trees and invested in a fake one and soon over the years the tree got smaller and smaller. Even though that happened, I still had all my favorite Christmas movies to bring of that "Christmas spirit" into my little soul. So here is a list of my top 10 Christmas movies. Enjoy! Cheers. :)

#10 Arthur Christmas
This movie actually just came out in theaters last month (on my birthday) and for a long time I couldn't decided if I actually liked it. Of course the only reason I went to see this movie was because of that one guy....who? Oh yea, JAMES MCAVOY. I did however, after much thought, decide that I did in fact really enjoy this movie.

     #09 Gremlins
How could this not be on my list? I can't recall a time not loving this movie. You definitely need some action in the Christmas season and little fuzzy and not so fuzzy creatures are just the things to give you that adventure. And isn't Gizmo just adorable? I want one.

#08 The Polar Express
Another movie I was first hesitant about, but after watching it a few times I eventually ended up loving it. Heck it's ahead of Gremlins! I like the feeling I get when I watch this movie; all bundled up in my blanket and drinking some hot coco, that's how to watch this.

#07 The Santa Clause
Yes, yes, and yes. One of those movies that makes you wish Santa Clause was your father! ...wait. I think what I really enjoy about this movie is the whole kid doesn't get along with dad but in the end after some crazy Christmas Eve present giving kid ends up liking dad part of the story.

#06 How the Grinch Stole Christmas
I remember when I was little I would sit in the family room and try to stay awake to see Santa deliver my presents, while doing this I would watch this movie. It just brings back those childhood Christmas memories and I get all warm and fuzzy inside.

#05 Home Alone
This is one of the movies that had me excited to eventually move away from home, you'd think it'd be the opposite. I like adventure and Christmas, what more could you ask for?

#04 Jingle All the Way
I think this was one of the first VCR movies I ever received. But besides that, this was an Arnold Schwarzeneger movie! When I was little however, I never noticed just how strong his accent really is. I just recently watched it again and man...how did I understand what he was saying? Anyway, it's a classic Christmas crisis and triumph over crisis story, and those are the types of things that make Christmas so exciting and fun.

#03 Elf
First of all, love, love, LOVE this movie. Will Ferrell is super hilarious always and this role was definitely made for him. It has everything in it: adventure, good Christmas music, comedy, drama, and a good story line.

#02 A Christmas Story
Of course. I think about 90% of the world would have this movie on their list. Every year I watch this movie about five million times Christmas Eve and Christmas Day because courtesy to TBS they play it for 48 hours straight, and I absolutely love it.

#01 Just Friends
When I first bought this movie it literally did not leave my DVD player for about 3 months. I love it that much. I know all the lines, I still laugh at all the jokes when I watch it. I think Ryan Reynolds is adorable and I love the whole Christmas romance theme. All in all, it's an adorable Christmas comedy with really great actors and great dialogue!
